 Among the Hindu people, this ancient temple is given great importance. It is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva which is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga. All 12 Jyotirlinga represent Lord Shiva. The temple is located in the Nashik city district of Maharashtra at the foothill of Brahmagiri hills. It is said that Lord Brahma penance on this hill to please Lord Shiva. The meaning of Jyotirlinga is “PrakashStambh”. Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is a very different form than the other 11 Jyotirlingas. This Jyotilinga has three faces that represent “Trimurti” that is Lord Brahma known as the creator, Lord Vishnu known as the Preserver, and Lord Mahesha known as the destructor. The Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is crowned with the jeweled, which is a crown from the age of Pandwa. Trimbakeshwar is the most religious place to perform various poojas like Narayan Nagbali,  Kalsarp Pooja, Tripindi Shradh Pooja, Rudrabhishek Pooja, Mahamrityunjay Mantra Jaap, Kumbh Vivah etc. Performing pooja near Trimbakeshwar temple under the guidance of “Tamrpatra” holder pandits is more beneficial for you than performing the pooja in other places.
