Saptashrungi devi temple is the half Shakti Peeth temple of Maharashtra. Vani devi has seven peaks around her that is why this goddess is known by the name Saptashrungi. Vani devi is also known as the mother of seven peaks. In Nashik Sahyadri mountain range around Vani devi is knobs as Ghad. Saptashrungi devi’s Idol is automatically craved in mountains at the height of 4600 feet height.

Vani Saptashrungi devi has a total of eight hands and Devi Mahatmya Akhyaika tells the story of Saptashrungi devi’s eight hands. The cruel demon perform penance to Lord Shiva and got a boon of Immortality from lord Shiva. But Mahishasura did not know that his death would happen at the hands of a woman. When Mahishasura started to trouble all the people, Saptashrungi devi demon Mahishasura at this place. Goddess fought with Mahishasura for 9 days, which is why Navratri is the big festival of Vani hills.


Saptshringi Devi’s "Kakad Aarti" is performed at 5:30 AM. After that Panchamrit Mahapuja of Devi is performed from 7 to 9 am. In the Panchamrit Mahapuja, the Goddess is bathed with panchamrit made of curd, milk, ghee, honey, fragrant oil, and powdered sugar, and then the Goddess is anointed with 11 liters of milk. At 12 noon Aartí is performed by showing Mahanaivedya to Goddess. And in the evening there is another aarti of the goddess which is called saanj aarti


Tuljapur Tuljabhwani Devi Temple




Among 51 Shakti Peeth temples in India Tuljabhwani devi temple is the second shakti peeth temple. Tuljabhwani temple is located at “Balaghat hills” of Tuljapur, Maharashtra. Tuljabhwani devi is the Kulswamini of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Tvaraj, Turja, Tvarita are the names of Tuljabhwani devi. Goddess Tuljabhwani has eight hands. Gomukh Tirth, and Kallol Tirth waters are considered the holy water of Tuljapur temple. Tuljapur Temple has four doors which are known by the name Chatrpati Shivaji maharaj, Shahaji Raje, and Jijamata. The main door of Tuljapur temple is known by the name Sardar Nimbalkar. Navratri, Chaitr Uttsav, Gudhi Padhva, Poornima are the major festivals celebrated in Tuljapur Tuljabhwani devi temple. Most people celebrate Functions in Tuljabhwani temple, like Gondhal Pooja after marriage, baby's first hair removal program, Marriage ceremonies, Shrikhandi Pooja, etc.

Abhishek Pooja: 6 to 10 Am

Vastralnkar Pooja and Dhoop Arti : 11 Am

Evening Abhishek Pooja: 7 to 9 pm
