The Purohit Sangh has been working for the Trimbakeshwar temple for the last 1200 years and for the devotees who come there.

Purohit Sangh sanstha includes all Tamrpatrdhari pandit. This Tamrpatrdhari pandit has been a resident of Trimbakeshwar for many years and lives in the Trimbakeshwar temple area.

Only Tamrpatrdhari pandit have the right to worship in the Trimbakeshwar temple. Tamrpatrdhari pandit are original and has been doing puja here for many years.

And Tamrpatrdhari Pandit are known as authentic Pandits.

Tamrpatra is a certificate given by Nanasaheb Peshawan to Pandit in Trimbakeshwar on a copper plate.

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is a symbol of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshr the Trinity.

Godavari, the longest river in India, flowing near Trimbakeshwar is the specialty of Trimbakeshwar.

Trimbakeshwar is located at the foot of Brahmagiri, the source of the mountain Godavari.

River Godavari is a form of Ganges.

When the river Ganga originatest Brahmagiri mountain, it disappears from there because

she wanted to be with Lord Shiva. Then she was imprisoned there by calling Godavari,

a small Kushawart Kund  built by Gautama Rishi, which is 400 meters away from Trimbakeshwar.

Sage Gautama wanted to take bath in Godavari’s water to remove his sin of cow slaughter,

so Gautama Rishi called Godavari Kushavarta Kundat.

It is said that if you bathe in Godavari water, all your sins will be removed.

Trimbakeshwar has become a very special place for all the holy things in Trimbakeshwar.

So people come to Trimbakeshwar to perform their many auspicious rituals.
