 Nivrutinath Maharaj Samadhi Trimbakeshwar



Nivrittinath Maharaj Samadhi temple is located near the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. Shri. Nivrittinath Maharaj is known as the first promoter of Varkari Sampradaya and Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is known as the first seat of Varkari Sampradaya. Niravuttinath Maharaj was born in a small village called Apegaon and later grew up in Nashik City of Maharashtra.

Shri Nivrittinath Maharaj had one sister and two brothers and Nivrittinath Maharaj was the eldest. After the death of his parents, Nivrittinath Maharaj took responsibility for his whole family. Nivrutinath Maharaj sacrificed many things in his life and separated from his family. Many people believe in him and praise him for his divine powers, and his devotees learn a lot from his calm nature.

The special feature of this temple is that Nivrutinath Maharaj took a living samadhi in this Samadhi temple. The Samadhi of Shri Nivrittinath Maharaj at Trimbakeshwar is from the year 1219. Disciples of Changdev Maharaj lived at Trimbakeshwar to worship this Nivruttinath Maharaj Samadhi. Since then, the tradition of worshiping this samadhi continues till today. Further, this tradition is followed even today by the Gosavi family. Earlier the maintenance of the temple was done by the concerned family, but now the trust act has come. But later on, the demand of Varkari devotees some related Gosavi families have been given the right to maintain the temple and worship. Today, Devotees who believe in the sacrifices done by Nivrutinath Maharaj in his life visit this temple as a place of pilgrimage.

Once a year, Nivrutinath Maharaj Samadhi Sohla is celebrated here. Thousands of devotees come here for darshan on these days. Dnyaneshwari Parayana is organized in Trimbakeshwar from Jyeshtha Vdya 5 to Jyeshtha Vdya 12 and the Nivrutinath Maharaj Samadhi ceremony is celebrated on Jyeshtha Vdya 12th day.



Vani Saptashuringi devi Temple : 


Vani Saptashrungi Devi temple is located in the Sahyadri mountain range of Nashik city. This temple is called Saptashrungi because this temple is located in the middle of 7 mountains. And here the idol of the Saptashrungi devi is self-manifested in the mountains. Goddess is considered as the mother of these seven peaks. Saptashrungi Devi has eighteen hands. Saptashringi Devi has held the weapons gifted by all the gods and goddesses to kill the Mahishasura by using these eighteen weapons.

The beautiful temples of the Saptashrungi goddess are built in the Partiko design of the last centuries. There are 500 steps made by Umabai Dabhade to reach the temple and now a rope way has been provided. Navratri and Chaitrautsav are the biggest festivals celebrated here with great enthusiasm.




Shirdi Sai Baba Temple : 


Shirdi has a Sai Baba’s Samadhi temple. Shirdi Sai Baba is known as the greatest sant or god of India.  Sai Baba is not only worshiped in India but also all over the world. Every year lakhs of devotees visit Shirdi Sai Baba Temple from all over the world. Sai Baba teaches his devotees about Shradha (faith) and Saburi (positions). Shirdi Sai Baba temple is the most visited and most important shrine in India. This whole temple was constructed on a 200 square meters area and build with gold. The Idol of Sai Baba is built with a marble rock. In Shirdi, all the people respect Sai Baba’s given teachings and follow the rule “Sabka Malik Ak”. All the people in Shridi believe in religious equality because Sai Baba is always against the caste system. He treats all the people equally. Till now nobody knows Sai Baba's real religion or cast. In Shirdi Sai Baba lived in a Muslim mosque and give it the Hindu name “Dwarka Mai”. Mahalsapati the Sai Baba’s first devotee gave the Sai came to Sai Baba.
